Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Los Santos Story Missions (The Definitive Edition)

Here we will go over all of the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Los Santos Story missions (the Definitive Edition) of which there are 37 in total which will see you both start and finish the story of GTA San Andreas.
You will be doing story missions for a good number of NPC’s which will see you needing to perform drive-bys, burgle guns from houses, complete Lowrider events and generally help out anyway you can whilst taking down a heavy amount of enemies along the way.
The first 2 missions are automatic with the remainder being accessible by going into the orange marker at a given location with the NPC’s initials on the map, S for Sweet, R for Ryder and CV for Cesar Vialpando for example.

On top of the 29 missions listed above that will take you through to San Fierro, at the end of the game you will be back in Los Santos to conclude the story where you will need to complete the following missions:
In The Beginning
Rewards: Nothing.
CJ will meet Officer Tenpenny then need to cycle through Balla territory on a push bike back to Grove Street.
Big Smoke
Rewards: Nothing.
Enter Sweets house via the mission marker in Grove Street where a cutscene will play ending the mission.
Sweet & Kendl
Rewards: Respect+.
After completing the Big Smoke mission you will be in the Cemetery with Sweet & Kendl. Escape back to Grove Street on your bike whilst evading the Balla ambush to conclude the mission.
Tagging Up Turf
Rewards: $200, Respect+.
Drive Sweet to Idlewood then watch him tag the first of the Spray Tags. You then need to work through the area tagging the next 2 Spray Tags before getting in the car and driving to East Los Santos.
Tag the next 3 Spray Tags taking out the Balls along the way before jumping back down from the roof and driving Sweet back to Grove Street.
Cleaning The Hood
Rewards: Respect+.
Drive to B Dup’s crib and kill him grabbing the baseball bat that he drops then follow the marker to the crack den and kill everyone inside who is hostile before getting back in the car and driving Ryder back to Grove Street.
Drive-Thru
Rewards: $200, Respect +.
Drive your crew to the Cluckin’ Bell then chase down the Ballas car wnabling Sweet and Ryder to shoot at it. You can ram into the car to cause increased damage just be mindful that if you destroy your own car the mission will fail.
Drive back to Grove Street to conclude the mission.
Nines And AK's
Rewards: $200.
Drive Big Smoke to Emmets then complete the target practice tutorial. With that done drive Big Smoke back to his house before going to Binco and buying a green hoody ten leave the shop to conclude the mission.
Drive-By
Rewards: $500.
Drive your crew into Ballas territory then either join your crew in shooting at the Ballas if you have an SMG or just focus on the driving. You can run the Ballas down to kill them just be mindful that if your car gets destroyed its a mission failure.
With the final set of Ballas dead you will receive a 2 star wanted level for your troubles, fortunately you need to head to a Pay ‘n’ Spray which will remove the wanted level as well as unlock Pay ‘n’ Spray.
Sweet's Girl
Rewards: Respect+.
Before beginning this mission you will need a weapon or 2 so kit yourself out then enter the marker where you need to quickly drive to Sweet who is pinned down. Eliminate every hostile in the area using your vehicle for cover if you need to then drive Sweet and his girl back to Grove Street whilst either avoiding or killing the pursuing vehicles.
Cesar Vialpando
Rewards: $2,000 (bet $1,000 on 2/1 odds).
Drive to the marker then enter the garage in the lowrider and spec your car however you like or leave without spending any money. Carefully drive to the marker at the station then input the controls as they appear on screen pressing the corresponding buttons as they get to the centre of the marker.
Your goal is to beat your opponent which is fairly easy as long as you take your time and don’t press the button prompts to early or late.
Ryder
Rewards: Respect +.
You will need to get a haircut and a meal with Ryder before he comes in and tries robbing the place. Either kill or escape the cashier who has a Shotgun so be careful.
Drive Ryder back to his house to conclude the mission.
Home Invasion
Rewards: Respect+.
Drive the van to the marker then enter the house where you will get a tutorial about being quiet which is important here as if you fail to steal 3 boxes from the house by waking up the owner you will fail the mission.
Crouch then move slowly to the first box on the right side of the room you enter on the ground floor, stand up near the box then inch forward to pick it up before slowly raking it back to the van keeping a close eye on the noise meter.
Go back into the house and up the stairs to find the second box you again need to quietly remove from the house. The third box will be back up the stairs and around the landing.
Be careful here as the slightest noise causes your noise meter to fill quickly as you will be directly outside the owner’s bedroom. Slowly take the third box back to the van then drive Ryder to the lockup without destroying the van to conclude the mission.
Catalyst
Rewards: Respect+.
Ensure you have some hard hitting weaponry then get to the mission marker. Park side on and use you r car for cover as you eliminate the Vagos then the Ballas who are trying to take the stash. Climb on to the train then hold R2 to charge up a throw aiming at Ryder.
You will need to be accurate here as you won’t have long to get the crates onto Ryders’ truck. Drive to the nearby Pay ‘n’ Spray to remove your 2 star wanted level you will have received then drive back to Grove Street to conclude the mission.
Robbing Uncle Sam
Rewards: Respect+.
Grab some weapons then head to the marker before jumping over the wall, kill the Soldier then shoot the panel to open the gate. Eliminate all of the Soldiers inside then get to the warehouse, shoot the panel to get inside and kill all of the Soldiers in here.
Get in the forklift and collect the 4 boxes at the back of the warehouse placing them into the back of the van one by one. You may need to help Ryder kill the Soldiers but he’s fairly good at putting them down.
Head outside and collect the remaining crates placing them in the back of the van before driving out of the compound. You can task Ryder with throwing a box at the pursuing vehicles by sounding your horn but they will leave you alone when you get close to the marker which you need to park in to conclude the mission.
OG Loc
Rewards: Respect+.
This mission is a lot easier if you have an SMG so get one then drive to the Police Station and collect OG Loc before driving him to the marker. Get on the bike and chase Freddy down, don’t worry about falling behind as he always waits for you.
Shoot at Freddy with a clear line of sight to bring him down, if you fail to do so keep tailing him where he will eventually pull up with some friends all of who you now need to kill.
With either Freddy or Freddy and his crew dead, drive OG Loc to the Burger Shot to conclude the mission.
Running Dog
Rewards: Respect+.
Drive to the marker then sprint after the dealer taking out the Vagos as you go. Once you have a line of sight on the dealer, open fire and put him down.
Wrong Side Of The Tracks
Rewards: Respect+.
Drive the dirt bike along the tracks allowing Big Smoke to shoot the gang members on the train. Be careful to avoid the oncoming train before going into the tunnel whilst keeping the bike steady to enable Big Smoke to put the hostiles down easier.
You will fail the mission if either CJ or Big Smoke die, if the bike is destroyed or if Big Smoke doesn’t kill them before the train gets out of Los Santos.
With all 4 gang members down drive Big Smoke back to his house.
Just Business
Rewards: Respect+.
Get yourself kitted out with weapons including an SMG then drive to the marker which will initiate a fight against several hostiles so put them down before heading outside killing everyone along the way.
With CJ and Big Smoke on the bike, shoot at your pursuers aiming for the bodies on bikes and the wheels on cars where a lorry will show up to try and crush you. Shoot out its tyres whilst dealing with the bikers then clear the barricade.
Continue taking out the pursuers where Big Smoke will eventually jump a trailer causing a cinematic explosion. Shoot the red barrels in the alleyway to remove any stragglers. Big Smoke will park the bike and the mission will conclude.
High Stakes, Low Rider
Rewards: Respect+.
Get a lowrider then head to the marker before following Cesar to the start of the race. Hang back to avoid the initial carnage then race ahead of the pack. Your opposition is usually busy ramming into each other so avoid that and drive ahead going through each checkpoint paying attention to the arrows as they can be useful in showing you the directions you need to take.
Race down to the end of the pier in first place to conclude the mission. 2nd or below will be a mission fail so try again until you take the win.
Life's A Beach
Rewards: Respect+.
Go to the marker then work through the dialogue where you will be asked to dance. Input the button prompts on screen as they get to the central point of the fixed mark then, as long as you have done a good job of dancing you can go to the sound van which you need to steal.
Avoid the hostiles then drive to the marker to finish the mission.
Madd Dogg's Rhymes
Rewards: Respect+.
Speak with OG Loc then then head to Madd Dogg’s mansion. You need to be quiet here as the mission will fail if you’re detected and the alarm is raised. If you put every guard down without anyone being alerted to your presence you will unlock. Assassin so ensure you have a manual save in case you make a mistake.
Proceed through the mansion carefully and quietly, retrieve the book from the recording studio then head back outside where you can deliver the book to OG Loc.
Management Issues
Rewards: Respect+.
Drive to the marker and ram the car to make the driver get out. Kill him then steal and repair the vehicle at the pay ‘n’ spray. Stay in-between the 2 vehicles then once prompted drive the car off the end of the pier to conclude the mission.
House Party
Rewards: $1,000.
Ensure you are heavily geared out weapon wise and have some body armor on as you need to deal with a few waves of Ballas, use cover the pop out, take a few down then get back into cover to reload.
Burning Desire
Rewards: Nothing.
Grab the Molotovs from the alley then go to the house which you need to throw a molotov through each of the windows around the house. If you are struggling to smash a window with the Molotov then shot the window then throw a Molotov through at closer range.
Ensure you aren’t caught in the fire then deal with gang bangers who show up before realising there’s a young lady trapped inside the house.
Go inside and collect the ire extinguisher from the kitchen and equip it then head up the stairs clearing any fire in your way. Meet up with Denise then take her outside extinguishing any fires blocking your path. Drop her off at her house where you will now have a girlfriend in game.
Gray Imports
Rewards: Respect+.
Having an SMG will help a good deal here. Go around the back of the building after parking in the marker and take out the guards, shoot the switch to open the warehouse. Kill everyone here as you make your way towards the stairs then kill the Ballas and the Russian.
If the Russian escapes, chase after him and put him down before he gets in the car. If you weren’t fast enough chase him down on the bike.
Doberman
Rewards: Respect+.
Gear yourself then head to the marker where you need to find some Ballas. Keep killing them to initiate a gang war which will cause a series of enemies to show up. Put them all down to claim the turf as your own.
Kill the snitch to conclude the mission.
Los Sepulcros
Rewards: Respect+.
Recruit at least 2 gang members, get in a 4 door vehicle then take your new crew to the marker quickly. Kill everyone in the cemetery then head to the pay ‘n’ spray to lose the wanted level before taking Sweet back to Grove Street ensuring you don’t destroy the car.
Reuniting The Families
Rewards: Respect+.
Before starting this mission you will need body armour and a good supply of weapons and ammunition.
Go into the Motel killing the cops as you go working towards Sweet. There’s a Sprunk vending machine you can use to regenerate health if you’re taking too much damage so bear that in mind.
Destroy the helicopter and kill the SWAT before following Sweet down the stairs then fire at the cops through their windshields, aim at the tyres and even the gas tanks if your aim is good enough. Keep shooting until the cutscene kicks in concluding the mission.
The Green Sabre
Rewards: Unlocks The Countryside region.
Meet up with Cesar then get to Sweets’ location. Kill all of the Ballas, go through the cutscenes to conclude the mission.
Vertical Bird
Rewards: $50,000.
Get in the speedboat, head to the marker then swim to the back of the boat ensuring you have both a knife and a Silenced Pistol as this is a stealth mission. Kill the forklift truck driver and the guard silently Carefully make your way through the vessel eliminating the guards as you go. Deactivate the SAM’s then get in the Hydra.
Take out the jets in pursuit as well as the boats without taking heavy damage then fly to the marker, land carefully before taxiing the Hydra into the hangar to conclude the mission.
Home Coming
Rewards: Respect+.
Collect Sweet then eliminate the dealers before finding a few Ballas to kill in order to initiate a gang war. Clear the waves of enemies to conclude the mission.
Cut Throat Business
Rewards: Respect+.
Chase OG Loc down whilst ensuring you maintain a high speed throughout the chase to where the cutscene kicks in concluding the mission.
Beat Down On B Dup
Rewards: Respect+.
Go to the markers then kill a few Ballas to trigger a gang war. Kill everyone who shows up to claim the turf then go to the Balla house killing everyone in and around the yard.
Grove 4 Life
Rewards: $10,000.
Head to the marker and kill a few Ballas to trigger a gang war. Win it then head to the next marker to trigger where you need to trigger another gang war with Sweet telling you to get back to Grove Street once all the Ballas are dead.
Riot
Rewards: Nothing.
Drive Sweet back to Grove Street.
Los Desperados
Rewards: Respect+.
Make a 3 man crew, get in a 4 seater car and head over to Cesar then, once at the marker, go through the area eliminating every hostile in and out of the houses. Keep proceeding through the area killing everything as you go then use a Sniper Rifle or M4 if you have one to put down the enemies around Cesar’s house as they have RPG’s and Flamethrowers.
End Of The Line
Rewards: Respect+.
This is the final mission in the game and you can tell so gear yourself out, max armor, heavy weapons and throwables then kill everyone in and around the marker before going into the building. Work your way up and through the area killing everyone as you go staying in cover as best as you can.
Be patient as you go through the building as the enemies usually come looking for 1 or 2 at a time meaning you can pick them off rather than going all out and dying for your efforts.
Kill Big Smoke then head through the area where Tenpenny will torch the place. You now have 7 minutes to get out killing everyone as you go ensuring you collect the extinguisher enabling you to put the fires out.
Chase after the Fire truck then catch Sweet as he falls off then focus fire on the pursuing vehicles destroying them quickly by shooting through the windshield or popping the tyres / gas tanks to the point the cutscene rolls concluding the mission and the main story.
