Location: N’Erud, Void Vessel Facility.
Rewards: Transference Mutator, Scrap x300.
The Fetid Corpse Aberration seems powerful at first, however, it’s the entourage you need to take down that poses more of a threat as there are a lot of the zombie style enemies that all come at you at once as well as several flying flying enemies which use telekinesis to throw objects and energy balls at you.
You will have faced all of these enemies throughout the biome anyway on your way to the Fetid Corpse, but there’s something foreboding about the darkness and the addition of having an Aberration to contend with which makes the whole fight seem more dangerous than it actually is.
In order to get to the Fetid Corpse Aberration, you will need to go all the way through the Void Vessel Facility biome where you will come to an upper walkway at the very end of the area with 3 pods standing up next to each other.
Interact with the middle pod, take out the enemy who falls out from inside then interact with the now open pod where you will go inside. This is where you will fall asleep, however, in the process of nodding off, the Fetid Corpse will come towards you.
You will wake up on a pile of black goo, however, the fight won’t begin until you get up so stay put if you need a second or 2 to compose yourself then once you’re ready, get up and take on the enemies.
Focusing fire on the Fetid Corpse will remove it, however, the real threat lies with the other enemies in the area, the Aberration is more distraction that direct threat so take everything down as best as you can.
The Aberration could, depending on the abilities it has below its name cause you significant harm with abilities such as Shocker and Minions but other than that it’s not much more powerful than the regular versions you have been taking down along the way through the biome.
Bring the Fetid Corpse and every other enemy in the local area down where you can then ascend the ramp and come back out to the pods.
