Here is the Remnant 2 Legion boss guide which will help you find and track down an incredibly challenging boss who is in Yaesha, The Twisted Chantry and you will be inflicted with the Madness status if you don’t learnt he mechanics which makes the screen incredibly challenging to see until it ultimately kills you.
Combine the Madness status with homing plasma balls, hordes of enemies including ones that slash and stab as well as exploding enemies you are in for a tough time here.
I’m arguably playing as the easiest Archetype pair, the Challenger and Summoner, both level 10 and both with their ultimate abilities and I struggled here until I learnt the mechanics.
Location: Yaesha, The Twisted Chantry.
Rewards: Lumenite Crystal x3, Tome of Knowledge x1, 500 Scrap, Agnosia Driftwood x1.
Here’s a few tips to help you through the fight before we get in to it:
- The only part of the boss you can damage is the portal.
- You should only shoot the portal when it’s glowing.
- Looking at the portal will inflict you with the Madness status.
- Shoot in short bursts then look away before the Madness meter fills up.
- Use the Summoner Archetype or another player to deal with the mobs whilst you take care of the portal.
- Stay out of the central arena and clear the mobs as quick as you can.
- Every so often there will be a powerful shockwave, you will hear a chime before it fires. Dodge it or lose half your total health.
This is the toughest boss I’ve gone up against so far in Remnant 2 mainly due to the Madness status, dealing with mobs, taking damage and healing are part of the game but having the screen taken away from you is a tough time until you realise you need to look away.
The orb will be static for the first half of the fight so duck in and out of cover avoiding prolonged contact, avoiding the plasma balls, shockwaves and mobs as best as you can.
Once Legion is down to around 70% health, the portal will start moving around so keep pressure on in short bursts when its glowing then put your back to the portal to reduce your Madness meter.
The exploding enemies are easy to deal with as long as you shoot at least one of their legs out where they will become immobile and detonate after a few seconds. The faster enemies can be a pain if you’re surrounded so clear them quickly then get back to the shooting the portal.
Dodge through the shockwave at the last second so you can use the games’ invulnerability frames to avoid eating the impact then keep plugging away at the portal when it’s glowing until you take Legion down.
